Maripossa Wellness creates behavior change programs and trainings. We are passionate about teaching individuals and organizations how to incorporate simple self-care tools into daily life and how to achieve small shifts in everyday behavior which can have a big impact on overall wellbeing.  Our programs are integrative, innovative and engaging and not only improve participants’ energy and balance immediately, but also teach participants how to do it themselves and remind them that they are in control of their wellbeing.  Our mission at Maripossa Wellness is to empower people to make healthier lifestyle choices and live more resilient lives. 

 

About Us

Amy Hull, Co-Founder of Maripossa Wellness, spent over 20 years in the advertising industry and discovered a yoga practice to keep her grounded and centered in the midst of the demanding workplace.  However, when Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 her life and focus changed.   Now a Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist, Amy also attended Donna Karan’s Urban Zen Integrative Therapy program and became a certified trained Integrative therapist, a certified RYT-500 Yoga teacher, Reiki level II trained practitioner.  She worked directly with cancer patients at The Farber Center for Radiation Oncology using the combined integrative techniques to bring relief to common symptoms.  At Maripossa Wellness, Amy continues to build the business of wellness with partner Karina by implementing the Maripossa Method in hospitals and organizations to teach achievable techniques for a daily practice to promote positive behavioral changes.

Karina Muller, Co-Founder of Maripossa Wellness, has over 15 years experience within the Sports Industry and Health and Wellness Industry. Having personally experienced traumatic and stressful orthopedic surgeries, Karina was able to heal her body and mind by her own practices.  Karina truly learned the value of these tools in her recuperation and her focus was redirected to teach others these powerful techniques. Karina is a certified Corporate Wellness Specialist, a certified RYT-500 Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, a certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher, certified in Body Tuning (alternative physical therapy techniques) a Reiki level II practitioner as well as a Stress Management provider for the Dr. Ornish Reversal of Heart Disease program. Karina has utilized all of these techniques working with adult patients as well as children, at Beth Israel Hospital, St Damien’s hospital in Haiti and Dr Tazt’s physical therapy office in Manhattan. In addition to continuing to educate people through Maripossa Wellness programs and Training programs, Karina's goal is to make this work accessible to everyone, improve workplace wellness and create a healthier workforce.

Keely Garfield -As Director of Corporate Training Programs for Maripossa Wellness,  Keely develops and leads customized, innovative training clinics, workshops and self-care programs. Keely is a certified E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher and Urban Zen trained Integrative Therapist, with an extensive background in dance and choreography.  Her broad experience has provided her with exceptional insight into the ways health and vitality are deeply rooted in the awareness of our mind and body. As an integrative therapist, Keely worked at Beth Israel Medical Center, was the clinical coordinator for Donna Karan’s UZIT program at The Farber Center for Radiation Oncology, and twice served in Haiti at Saint Damien’s Pediatric Hospital and Orphanage.
